Fees
Out of Network Provider
I am considered an out of network provider for all insurance companies, meaning that I have not negotiated rates with insurance companies and cannot file claims on your behalf. Depending on the coverage provided in your insurance plan, you may still be allowed to file claims with the insurance company for out of network services. I will provide you with a billed invoice at the end of each session, which you may choose to submit to your insurance. I strongly encourage all prospective clients to contact their insurance company before beginning services in order to learn more about your out of network coverage and benefits.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service, and is payable by check or credit (all major credit cards accepted). In addition, you can use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) if your account provides a card with the Visa or Mastercard logo. A credit card is required to be kept on file, but other forms of payment may be used for each service.
Cost for Services
Diagnostic Interview/Assessment: This appointment includes a comprehensive diagnostic interview using appropriate structured or semi-structured interview measures, a review of relevant self-report measures, and initial contacts with other providers or schools as necessary. This appointment is typically scheduled for 90-120 minutes in length and is billed for a flat rate fee of $350.
Individual Treatment Sessions: As part of the diagnostic assessment process, a detailed treatment plan will be created. In most cases, those treatment plans will be based on an expected number of individual sessions, typically lasting between 45-60 minutes, and billed at a prorated rate of $220 for a 45 minute session. Shorter sessions, for example those completed as a booster following the end of treatment, will be billed at the same prorated rate in 5 minute increments.
Policies
Cancellation/No Show Policy
Clients are required to give notice at least 24 hours prior to the session in order to either cancel or to reschedule appointments. The first time a late cancellation notice is given or a session is no showed, the client will be charged a $20 fee. Subsequent late cancellations or no shows will be charged 50% of the scheduled session fee. Repeated late cancellations or no shows may lead to early termination of treatment.
Technology and Social Media
Email: I encourage clients to reach out with concerns or questions via email, and will do my best to respond to emails within 24 hours. I will typically check email once daily. While I will not share your emails with anyone without your express permission, email is not considered a secure means of communication and therefore privacy cannot be ensured. I will not check emails during the weekend, and so more pressing issues should be addressed with a phone call.
Text Messages: I do not use text messages in my practice due to reliability and privacy concerns.
Social Media: While I have multiple social media accounts for professional purposes, I do not use these accounts to connect or communicate with clients.
